University of Wisconsin Whitewater

Dr. Ballatori joined the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (UW-W) music faculty in Fall 2016 where she serves as Associate Professor of Flute and Director of the UW-W Flute Camp. The recipient of the University of Texas System’s Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Award, she previously served as Associate Professor of Flute at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV).  An energetic and passionate teacher, Ballatori's students have been named winners and finalists in numerous local, state, regional, and national competitions and honors ensembles. Under Ballatori's direction, the UTRGV Flute Choir and Flautarra Ensemble enjoyed the university's first invitations to appear as featured performers at the National Flute Association Convention, Texas Music Educators Association Convention, and Texas Flute Festival. In 2022, the UW-W Flute Choir was invited to perform at the National Flute Association Convention in Chicago, Illinois. It was the first time in over 30 years that the group received an invitation to perform at this event.

UW-W Flute Studio

The UW-W Flute Studio is an active and growing studio whose members are dedicated to achieving excellence as musicians, flutists, music educators, arts advocates, and entrepreneurs.  The UW-W Flute Studio fosters a supportive and dynamic learning environment with a focus on developing the fundamentals of expressive tone and strong technique to create artistic, versatile musicians.  All UW-W flute students receive a weekly private lesson with Dr. Ballatori, and attend a weekly Studio Class where they perform for each other and discuss special topics related to flute performance and teaching. All UW-W flute students have the opportunity to participate in numerous studio sponsored events throughout the year and are encouraged to take advantage of the many performance opportunities at UW-W and in the community.

Private Lessons
